Garlic Pistachio Dip with Crudites



1 cup American Pistachios

1½ cups hung yogurt

¼ tsp roasted cumin powder

½ tsp black salt

2 tbsps chopped garlic, fried

2 tsps lemon juice

Fried garlic slices for garnish

Blanched, peeled and slivered American Pistachios for garnish

Red radish slices for garnish 

Crudités to serve 


Preparation time: 10-15 minutes

Cooking time: 0-5 minutes

  1. Dry roast American Pistachios on medium heat for 3-4 minutes. Allow to cool slightly.
  2. Put the roasted pistachios in a blender jar and blend to a fine powder. Add ½ cup water and blend to smooth paste.  
  3. Take hung yogurt in a large bowl. Add the blended paste, roasted cumin powder, black salt, fried garlic and lemon juice and mix till well combined. 
  4. Transfer the raita into a serving bowl, garnish with fried garlic slices, American Pistachios slivers and red radish slices. Serve with crudités.
