PISTACHIO MUSHROOM TOPPING
Yield: 4 servings
Ingredients
½ pound Mushrooms, sliced
¼ cup Finely chopped onion
1 clove Garlic, minced
¼ cup Butter or margarine
2 to 3 teaspoons Flour
¼ cup Chopped natural American pistachios
2 tablespoons each Chopped parsley and lemon juice
Dash cayenne pepper
Salt and pepper
Instructions
Sauté mushrooms, onion and garlic in butter until onion is tender and mushrooms are cooked. Stir in flour; add pistachios, parsley, lemon juice, cayenne and salt and pepper to taste. Cook and stir until slightly thickened.
Tip: Serve over cooked lamb, fish, chicken or pork.
