Virtual Global Harvest Tour and Chef Cook-Alongs
During the month of November, APG held a series of "Virtual Harvest Tour and Chef Cook-Alongs" to raise consumer awareness of the food versatility of pistachios as families are preparing meals at home during the COVID-19 pandemic and focusing on holiday meal planning. This agricultural virtual tour took participants from the pistachio orchards of California's San Joaquin Valley into the kitchens of California's most respected chefs. The chefs led interactive cooking demonstrations with journalists and social media influencers in the U.S., China, France, Germany, India, Italy and Spain. The harvest segment featured grower Rich Kreps, of LARK Farms in Madera, California, as he witnessed his first-ever harvest. APG assembled an all-star lineup of chefs that included Wolfgang Puck, Nancy Silverton, Gerald Hirigoyen and Martin Yan to prepare savory and sweet dishes.
